Broken Social Scene!

Hey Babe! So as you know today Danni and I saw Broken Social Scene in Central Park. It was totally awesome. The Sea and Cake opened, never listened to them before but they were really good. Members of BSS played with them on a few songs randomly, and members of TSAC came into BSS's songs every so often too it was cool. The show was so good, they were amazing! I wish you were there, I thought of that a few times during it I just wish I could have seen them with you. We are SO going when they come around again. Near the end some of the members crowd surfed out into the crowd, it was cool! The kinda hard to make out last pictures is of one of the members in the crowd. The whole thing was great, they played sooo many songs, for 2 and a half hours strait they didn't even bother leaving the stage they just said "Okay this is the encore, we don't want to waste time leaving and waiting and coming back on stage were gonna keep cramming as much as we can in here!" and just played again right away. It was sooo good!

PS: I love you x a million billion and I miss you like whoa.

I Love Hearing Your Voice

Hey baby! So not really much to report today. Corey went to work and Anne and I went for a walk/jog/run around Philly, mainly by the river, for about 7 miles total. It was fun, felt good, and most importantly YOU CALLED ME :) I looooove hearing your voice it makes me so happy! After we got off I turned to Anne and was all "Sorry, didn't mean to get on the phone and just leave you hanging for a bit" and she said "No no no it's fine, I love Lauren go for it I'm glad!" (she had complained to me recently about how she hates when she hangs out with Jon and he ends up on the phone with Maureen so I felt bad lol)

After that we made a delicious dinner and Corey got home and we chowed down, then Anne took me home to Jackson. Dave, Bill, Dan, and Jon came over for a little bit and then I played the new Halo game with Nick. That was my day. The most important part was getting to talk to you on the phone! :)

Love you so much! Hope your day goes amazing today! I'm sure it will with it's track record so far ;)

Outta St. Louis, into Philly

Hey there love,

So I spent a few hours travelin' and dealt with some delays (soo many delays between Detroit and Philly I dunno why) and then met up with Anne and spent the day in Philly with her and Corey. Went to a giant art store called Blicks, hung out at the apartment, then went with Corey to his Fencing meeting and learned fencing! I fought in a match with the only guy who was sort of intermediate, as opposed to the experienced and brand new people, and I won my first match! WOO go me! Fencing was totally awesome and I'm gonna try and come up another time or two to go with him to the meetings because it was fun haha. Oh sorry though, I forgot to get a picture in the full fencing garb with the helmet and sword. The picture below is Corey's fencing stuff on his couch. Next time! Then after we got Chinese and SUSHI and it was delicous. Oolong tea YES! Made me think of you :)

I love you so much! I'll be back home tomorrow and we can get back to skypin'!

Quack Quack!

I was at the pond in the Gateway Arch park today and these guys swam up to say hi! I thought you would appreciate it!

St. Louis - the Final Day!

Well today was my last day in St. Louis! Tomorrow bright and early I'll be getting on a train to the airport and then on a plane to Atlanta and then on a plane to Philly and then on a train to near Annes and then walking with Anne to her place!

Today I slept in and then headed down to the Gateway Arch again to ride it to the top. The way up was this rinky dink little orb like thing with 5 tiny seats that we all got crammed in nice and cozy and then up top was a room with windows and a great view of the city and the Misssissippi. There was also this Westward Expansion museum thing down under the Arch and some stores I looked around. I ate Bison Jerky! It was delicious! I love eating new animals!

After that I walked around in the park some more and then headed up down a bit to the City Museum. It was basically a gigantic outdoor/indoor/rooftop jungle gym. It looked like tons of fun but it was getting late and I was alone so I didn't feel like paying to look like a tool and feel awkward. I wish you were here, it would have been so much fun to climb with you!

Then I met up with Dad at the hotel and we got dinner and now were in for the night, earlier then the last few. OH! And I got you a present! I'll show it to you some time... but not now! Getting so close to being able to Skype with you again! YAY! Can't wait! I love you!

St. Louis... again!

I miss you! Sorry couldn't help myself had to get that established first and foremost. Anyway...

Hey babes!

So today I spent the day exploring the city, as I already described to you in my way-too-long-but-I-don't-care-because-I-miss-you-and-it's-the-closest-thing-I-have-to-talking-to-you-right-now email, so I won't get too into that. But I did promise pictuers in the email and I didn't get a chance to upload them before! So here are a couple of pictures from my run around the city.
After that I met back up with Dad, we went out and got dinner at Fridays near the hotel. It was good then after dinner it was into a taxi and off to the theater to see that Shrek musical. It was... okay I guess. Like I've said before, I don't really like musicals. Not my thing. But unfortunatly very much my family's thing, so I had to go with the guy, he wanted to go and let's face it, he took me to St. Louis so who am I to deny him his fun. It was ok, it was fun to joke around about it and make fun of the city. That area of the city is pretty shitty. And it's amazing to me, but so far I have not seen one store in St. Louis. And it means what it sounds like, not one store. Until the cab ride home, actually, when we passed a Shell gas station with a little circle K (those 7-11 type stores) attatched. That is the only store I've seen in the city. Not one little mart, supermarket, clothing store, electronics store, book store, anything. I have not seen a store outside the Baseball Stadium's stores and the Hilton gift shop. What do people DO here?!

Now were back at the hotel, and tomorrow I will attempt again via the aid of a taxi to get to that big old Forest Park with the art museum and zoo and stuff that I failed to get to on foot today. The day after will probably be another day I don't get to post here because I'm going to be flying back to Atlanta and then to Philly, and when I get in to Philly I'm staying with Anne and Corey again hanging out and I dunno if I'll get to use the internet there. Then Friday some time I'll be home and be sure to post again!

I love you so much! So so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so MUCH!

I had sort of a little mini-dream right before I woke up this morning and I dreamt I woke up and rolled over and kissed you to wake you up and then just as we started to cuddle into each other I woke up for real and was alone.

:(
I miss you so much and can't wait to kiss you for real again!

St. Louis - Day 1!

Hey babe, so I'm posting from the hotel tonight to tell you all 'bout my last 2 days (I know, I didn't have a chance to post yesterday! First day I missed one! :[ )

Yesterday I worked until close and then went up to Philly with Anne and stayed with her and Corey. Corey made us dinner (something we were joking with him on facebook about doing and didn't expect him to actually do haha) and we ate and watched a few episodes of Weeds and hung out. It was awesome.

Bright and early in the mornin' Corey left for work and Anne and I walked to the train station and she got me all squared away to head to the airport. So I got to the airport, flew to Atlanta, got on another plane, and flew to St. Louis! (4 states in 24 hours woo haha)

So today I met up with Dad, we checked into the hotel room (every time I type hotel I automatically type hostel and have to go back and remove the s hahahaha), headed out to a place nearby for dinner (everything tastes different here, we got italian but like the Alfredo sauce, Marinara Sauce, Clam Chowder, etc. all taste weird.), then went to Busch Stadium to watch a Cardinals / Cubs baseball game! Garrett and I traded shirts the other day when he came over with his Alfanso Soriano (ex-Yankee) Cubs shirt on he got in Chicago a few weeks ago and I brought it so that I could wear it to the game. It was funny cheering for the Cubs in St. Louis and the Cubs won, so woo! I guess. Hahaha.
I had fun, but I miss you alot. I tried to call you but your phone was off or dead or something. I love you!
